Twenty-Ten Resolutions

Even though it is already seven days after the new year, I thought I’d go ahead and still post some resolutions to work on in 2010. After all, it’s better late than never, so here they are (in no particular order):

  1. Drink more water (target is 2 glasses daily – it’s a start!).
  2. Get a photo published in a major publication.
  3. Travel to 5 new countries.
  4. Learn to cook actual food.
  5. Get in shape and have more muscle definition.
  6. Go out of my way more to meet new people.
  7. Adopt a better daily schedule/routine.
  8. Launch a new website.
  9. Get in touch with old friends around the world.
  10. Record a song.
  11. Get some loose plans for volunteering abroad.
  12. Finish my homework within the first three hours after returning home each day.

Chances are as I get some new ideas over the next few days, I’ll add to this list.  I’m hoping that by putting my goals online where everyone can see, I’ll hold myself more accountable to actually achieving them.

Those sounds like some good ones, especially #10!

How many goals did you achieve, Eric?
Were they actually important enough to get 4 u?
Or maybe they were simply autoresolutions not to work…

I put myself some resolutions to work every night for the next day and rarely achieve them.
Do you have some pieces of advice for a hopeless case like me?
Or maybe I don’t have to take any piece of advice from anyone… and keep on being like that.
Who knows?

I’m writing you from Saragozza (Spain) and I like studying languages too.
Do you study Spanish by case? You could practice with me if you’d want to.
Do you know any of our rock groups? There are some actually great!

I’m creating my own blog. When it will be ready, I’ll show you, only if you’re interested in, not by force, of course. I write personal opinions, novellas, poetry, stories, tales, anecdotal accounts, funny accounts and so on in Italian, French, English, Spanish and Catalan (Russian is forgotten).

I love writing, reading and listening. So, I’ll follow your blog with your permission. It seems good.

Cheers!

I probably achieved only about 1/3 of them, but it’s something! I will continue to work toward these goals onward. For advice, I think the best thing you can do is just set some reasonable goals and try to achieve as many as you can, but don’t get discouraged if you can’t get them all. Even if you achieve one, that better than where you were when you started.

I only know a little bit of Spanish, but since it is very similar to French, I can sometimes understand.

Nope, I don’t know very many Spanish bands. Do you have any recommendations?

Looking forward to seeing your blog!
